Olivia Azevedo is one of the teachers at Acorn School.

Hi! My name is Olivia Azevedo. I live with my parents, little brother, two dogs, and seven chickens in Mesa, Arizona. I was born in Tempe and I’ve lived in Arizona my whole life.

I’m also a lifelong homeschooler. I graduated from high school in 2021, having homeschooled all the way from kindergarten through high school. I absolutely loved homeschooling as a kid and I’m forever grateful for my education experience.

I’m currently pursuing a degree in Creative Writing at MCC (hoping to potentially transfer to GCU once I get my Associates done) and my biggest career goal is to publish my writing. Along with writing, I’m also very passionate about music. I taught myself how to play ukulele and guitar (and a bit of piano) by watching YouTube videos, reading tab, and trying things out. I don’t normally play for people but Acorn School has been a great opportunity for me to step out of my comfort zone and play music for kids.

My ultimate goal in life is to be a mother and to homeschool my future kids. I absolutely adore kids and I’m so happy that I have the opportunity to teach at Acorn.

When I was younger I had so much fun joining homeschool groups and co-ops. I made some of my closest childhood friends at places similar to Acorn School, and I’m very excited to be a part of teaching a co-op like the ones I used to have so much fun going to as a kid!
