November has been a month full of discovery and joy, with each group exploring new ideas and creative projects. From the Owls’ clay modeling to the Bluejays’ wool-felted acorns, the children have embraced every activity with enthusiasm. They’ve loved learning about owls, making lanterns for Martinmas, and spending time with farm animals at Mother Nature's Farm. It’s been a pleasure to watch their imaginations grow as they connect with the season and each other!
Here’s a peek at what we’ve been up to this month:
The Bluejays worked with great care on their wool-felted acorns, showing incredible patience and attention to detail. Their hard work paid off in stunning creations. They also enjoyed the magical stories shared by Miss Olivia, and a surprise visit from Miss Pati brought extra joy to the classroom.

The children in the Hummingbird, Cardinal, and Finch classes had an especially fun time learning all about owls this month. They eagerly shared owl facts, dissected owl pellets, and contributed their own ideas to the ongoing owl story by sharing fun facts and sharing about their owl sightings.. Their creativity blossomed as they worked on their lanterns for the Martinmas festival. Their walks to the farm to visit the animals were also a big highlight of their month.
A sweet spirit of teamwork has filled the classroom lately, with many little helpers stepping in to set up and clean up, making the day run smoothly.

This month, the Owls discovered a new passion for clay modeling, and it quickly became a favorite activity. They were thrilled to shape their own clay mushrooms after studying them in nature. The Door in the Wall provided just the right challenge, stretching their minds in the best possible way. It’s always a joy to watch the children rise to these opportunities for growth. Monet’s artwork, as always, captivated them with its beauty and light, inspiring their own creative expression.

Our November outing to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum was a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community. Families explored the trails, taking in the unique plant life and enjoying time in nature. The stunning desert landscape provided the perfect backdrop for exploration and connection, and we took advantage of the setting to host Fall Acorn School Picture Day for the children.
Our Lantern Festival was truly a magical evening. The Children proudly brought their handmade lanterns, which cast a beautiful glow as families gathered for a story, games, songs, and a simple craft. The highlight of the evening was the lantern walk, with glowing lights illuminating the path and bringing our community together.
