We've gotten away from that curriculum—it's time to return to it."

Who We Are

At Acorn School, our holistic enrichment program is inspired by Waldorf education. Waldorf is an educational approach that focuses on the holistic development of a child, incorporating intellectual, artistic, and practical activities.

While there are traditional enrichment programs for academics, we prefer to call our enrichment "Head, Heart & Hand Enrichment." This means we focus on the rhythms of the season through songs, storytelling, crafts, art, and free play, all while fostering deep community relationships between our children and families. Acorn School offers a holistic educational experience for local homeschool families in the East Valley area, including Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, and Chandler.

Weekly Classes

Every 3 hour class features nature exploration, unit studies, crafting, free play, and circle time.

Monthly Gatherings

Every month, we organize group outings and seasonal festivals for our members, fostering a community of like-minded families.

Family-Centered Community

We design our classes with the whole family in mind. Parents attend alongside their children, and siblings or other family members are welcome to join.

Whole-Child Education

Our classes draw inspiration from the Waldorf and Charlotte Mason approaches, both of which promote whole-child education.

Current Programs

Acorn School offers seven separate classes to meet the needs of our students.

Each class profives a nature-immersed learning environment that fosters language acquisition, cultural understanding, and holistic development.

All activities are seasonally themed, utilize Acorn School's Waldorf-inspired curriculums, and focus on helping children develop intellectually, creatively, and socially.
